It will be a carnival-like atmosphere in Abak Local Government Area on Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020 when the Member representing Abak State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Elder Udeme Otong briefs his constituents in an epoch making event which will take place at Annang Peoples School, Utu Abak along Abak-Ikot Ekpene Road at noon.Speaking with our reporters in his constituency office over the weekend, Hon. Elder Otong who is the Chairman House Committee on Health, hinted that the occasion will be used to brief his constituents on his performance in the past one year and six months and also inaugurate his privately owned constituency office located at Ikot Ekang Junction along Abak-Ikot Ekpene Road.The Assemblyman listed some of the items to be distributed to include; 5 mini buses, 5 tricycle-trucks, 20 motorcycles, 5 deep freezers, 2 gas cookers, 2 OX standing fan, cash donation to 5 students from each of the 12 wards, cash donation to 5 widows each from the 12 wards, 5 disabled persons from each of the 12 wards.The Lawmaker also announced cash donation to all the Ward Executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chapter Executive, Elders and stakeholders and 250 bags of rice. He explained that part of the constituency office will be used for ICT +and tailoring training where his constituents will be trained free and at the end of their training, they will get something to start businesses of their own.Hon. Otong listed names of personalities expected to grace the event to include; the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, his Deputy, Mr. Moses Ekpo, the Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey and the Assembly Family, the The DG, Grace Mandate Organization and the Executive Chairman of Abak LGA, Rt. Hon.(Pst) Ekerette Inyang, the State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Udo Ekpenyong, Senator Chris Ekpenyong, Hon. Elder Aniekan Umanah, Mrs. Ekemini Umoh and Rt. Hon. Okpolumph Etteh. Also expected to grace the event are; Rt. Hon. Elder Friday Iwok, Barr. Patrick Udomfang, Dr. Nkereuwem Etukudoh among others.The Assemblyman promised to do his best to put smiles on the faces of his people.Meanwhile, Hon. Elder Udeme Otong has continued to receive goodwill messages on the planned constituency Briefing. Those who spoke with our reporter commended the Lawmaker for giving the people of the area effective and purposeful representation.They also lauded the Lawmaker for being the first to commission a privately-owned constituency office in Abak.
