In the spirit of Christmas, Goodnews Community Orphanage Home on Christmas day 25th December, 2020 has benefited from the milk of human kindness coming from the wife of the Executive Chairmain of Abak Local Government Area, Mrs. Iniobong Ekerette Inyang, as they were presented with various gift items in commemoration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Speaking at the presentation, Mrs. Inyang, said she is deeply elated to visit the children in order to show them love and give them a good sense of belonging which according to her, would further boost their self-esteem which would further satisfy their self-actualization needs.

According to Mrs. Inyang, the children, despite their vulnerability are the future hope of the country adding that by the special grace of God she will be visiting the orphanage home timely so as to give them succor and avail them the belongingness as future leaders of the country.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, The Director of the foundation, Mrs. Promise Essien, thanked Mrs. Inyang for her thoughtfulness to bring celebrations to the doorsteps of the orphans and the less-privileged in the society, noting that her actions epitomize the true spirit of love, alms-giving and goodwill that Christmas represents.

While acknowledging that despite the economic challenges, the wife of the Chairman had deemed it necessary to touch the lives of the children, Mrs. Essien extolled the Abak First Lady for being a Mother to the motherless as she called on other notable individuals to emulate her kind gesture.

Gift items presented include; bags of rice, cartons of indomi, and toiletries among others.

In that same spirit, The Chairman’s wife also visited Primary Health Care, Ebom Avenue End, Abak LGA, to touch the lives of nursing mother’s.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Previous Eno Ime, a nursing mother who just put to birth, thanked the wife the Chairman for her kind-heartedness and prayed for good health and availability of resources at their disposal so as to continue in her show of love for the needy.

Among those who accompanied the wife of the Chairman were; the Vice Chairman of Abak, Rt. Hon. Benita Ukpe, PDP Chapter women leader for Abak, Mrs. Morris Solomon Udoh, PDP women leader Afahaobong ward 2, Mrs. Ima Idongesit, and Councilor Otoro Ward-3, Hon. Angela Ekong.
